Chief of Staff at State House, Mr. Saidu Conton Sesay, is leading Sierra Leone’s delegation to the 9th Session of the Committee on Sustainable Development and the Africa Regional Forum on Sustainable Development, being held at the United Nations Conference Centre in Addis Ababa from 16 to 18 June, 2015.
Organisers says the conference will review and provide guidance to the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa’s sub-programme on innovation, technology and the management of Africa’s natural resources and the implementation of a platform for the 2015 African Regional Forum on Sustainable Development and the High Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development.
The meeting is also slated to discuss green economy, climate change and renewable energy, management of Africa’s natural resources and the blue economy.
Sierra Leone’s delegation at the conference include Deputy Minister of Mines and Mineral Resources, Mr. Abdul Ignosi Koroma, Central Bank Governor, Mr. Momodu Kargbo, Director-General, National Minerals Agency, Mr. Sahr Wonday, Deputy Director, Economic Policy and Research Unit at the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development, Mr. Mohammed Warritay, Senior Assistant Secretary in the Ministry of Mines and Mineral Resources, Mr. Martin Jimmy, and Deputy Director of Social Welfare at the Ministry of Social Welfare, Gender and Children’s Affairs, Mr. Dehunge Shiaka,
