Assistant coach of Sierra Leone national Women’s Under-20 team, Abdulia Kaloga Bah, is seeking for an international friendly match against neighboring Guinea.

Sierra Leone will face the winner between Cameroon and Guinea in the second round qualifiers of the 2018 African U-20 Women’s World Cup and in a bid to be well fit for the test, the tactician believes a possible double header friendly will enhance the team’s fitness and preparation.

He said: “By the look of things, we would be facing Cameroon who defeated Guinea 0-9 away from home and we understood that there will be no return leg, which tells we must be in shape and prepare for the Cameroon clash.

“Playing against Guinea will help us know our strength and the fitness of our girls before the Cameroon fixture in November.”

Sierra Leone will host the Cameroonians in Freetown on November 3 in the first leg before traveling to Cameroon for the return leg on November 17. Already, the team has recommenced training session at the football academy, Kingtom in Freetown.

The Sierra Leone team has been lucky to progress to the last eight World Cup qualifiers, thanks to the withdrawal of Libya and after Tunisia in the preliminary and first round respectively. Meanwhile, the team suffered a 2-1 defeat to Morocco in an international friendly earlier this month.
