The Gambia national U-17 female team on Saturday sent a warning shot to their Sierra Leonean opponent after defeating Guinea Bissau 2-0 in an international friendly game at the Independence Stadium in Bakau.
Striker, Adama Tamba, gave the Gambians the lead just in the 5th minute from a free-kick taken by Mbassy Darboe and in the 14 minutes. Darboe could have double their lead but was denied by the wood-work.
Isatou Jallow doubled the advantage for the home side in the 33rd minute after capitalising from Mam Drammeh’s low cross to give the female scorpions a convincing victory.
