Sierra Leone striker, Christian Moses, helped Vendsyssel FF staged a massive comeback in the Danish NordicBet Liga, thanks to a 3-3 draw against Skive IK last Sunday at the Spar Nord stadium.
Thomas Dalgaard gave the home side an early lead just four minutes of play before Mathias Pedersen and MartinThomsen increased the score line for what was about to be an all three points in the basket.
However, the Sierra Leonean forward, Christian Moses, gave the visitors the hopes of gaining something from the match from a brilliant solo run to notch home his fourth goal of the season and reduced the deficit to 3-1 in the 65ft minutes.
Moses’s goal helped Vendsyssel FF rally back with just 25 minutes from time with goals from Jeppe Illum and Nigeria midfielder Emmanuel Ogude to secure a point from the match.
Vendsyssel FF are now with 16 points for nine matches while Skive IK sits at the foot of the table with just four points from nine matches.
Another Sierra Leone on target was Abdul ‘Buduski’ Sesay, who registered his sixth of the season as JS Hercules thumped Vasa IFK 6-1 at home.
The Leone Stars midfielder scored his side third goal of the day in the 31 minutes. In English League One, Amadu Bakayoko came off the bench in the 69 minutes in Walsall 1-1 draw against Peterborough United, while in Austria; George Davies replaced Roope Riski in St. Polten 5-1 defeat away to Austria Wien.
Alfred Sankoh’s Denizlispor side continued their poor run in the Turkish second tier league as they suffered 0-1 to visitors Giresunspor with the Sierra Leone midfielder having a full time spell, while in the Major League Soccer, Kei Kamara’s New England Revolution suffered again on the road this time to Sporting Kansas City.
