Sierra Leone youngster, Mustapha Bundu waited for AGF debut to finally come to an end on Sunday, as he was given the nod and make his senior team debut in their 1-0 defeat at the Brondby IF stadium.
The 19-year-old, who joined the Danish Superliga side on a one-year loan deal with an option to extend his contract, was introduced in the 78th minute, replacing Martin Spelmann.
Bundu’s AGF are currently battling to survive relegation with five games to go in the Danish league and the team was without a win in their last five games, losing three and two draws.
In the U.S Major League Soccer (MLS), Sierra Leone and former Middlesbrough forward, Kei Kamara saw yellow card for twerking celebration after scoring for New England Revolution in their 3-0 win over Montreal Impact.
Kamara completed the scoring for the host in the 71st minute and celebrated by pulling off the mood that was made popular by pop-star Miley Cyrus. His celebration displeased the referee who promptly pulled out a yellow card.
The goal was Kamara’s 11th this season and his Revolution side missed out on a play-off spot finishing seventh in the Eastern Conference log.
Elsewhere in the MLS, striker Alhaji Kamara made his first return from injury as DC United suffered a 4-2 defeat to Orlando City. The Sierra Leone international was substituted in the 40th minute.
In Sweden, striker Mohamed Buya Turay could not find the net for another weekend but his AFC United grabbed a 1-2 away win against Ängelholm, while midfielder Ibrahim Kallay had 88 minutes action for Piteå in their 4-2 win over Umea.
Still in Sweden, Ibrahim Marcel Koroma returned to the Husqvarna squad and had a full time action in the 3-2 home win over Oskarshamns AIK. Koroma’s countryman, Ishmeal Koroma was withdrawn 40 minutes from Nyköping goalless draw with Carlstad United due to injury.
In England, winger Sullay Kaikai played 58 minutes for Brentford as they lost 2-0 home to Barnsley in the Championship, while Alie Sesay returned with a full time action to the Barnet squad which secured 0-2 win over Wycombe Wanderers.
