Libyan trio to handle Algeria vs Sierra Leone clash

July 16, 2015 By Sahr Morris Jr.

Libyan referee, Wahid Salah Tamuni, will be in charge of the first leg clash between Algeria and Sierra Leone on July 19 at the Mustapha Tchaker Stadium in the U-23 2016 Olympic Games qualifiers.

Salah Tamuni will be assisted by his two compatriots, Attia Amsaâd and Salah El Shudgi.

Meanwhile, the second leg, which will also play in Blida on Saturday, July 25th, will be officiated by Senegalese trio Daouda Gueye Serigne, Cheikh Toure, and Abdulaziz El Hadji Gueye.

In a related development, Algeria U-23 coach André Pierre Schurmann, who oversaw his side’s two friendly matches against Senegal, was pleased with what he saw and hoped to improve on their concentration.

In his reaction to Algeria’s 2-1 defeat to Senegal, Schurmann said: “We have to recover quickly, which is important to remember. The players have understood that we must not let go until the last minute. It must be said that physically the team is doing well. Now if you want to go to CAN and the Olympics, it is for us to do our work against Sierra Leone and be a good team.”
