Patrick Thistle and Sierra Leone defender Mustapha Dumbuya has started his first phase of recovery from Achilles tendon injury last week.
The right-back reportedly ruptured his Achilles tendon in June and underwent surgery which ruled him out of action of six months.
According to Glasgow Evening Times, the 28-year-old has taken his first steps on the road, but he is some way from being able to ditch his Aircast boot and crutches.
“The battle I am facing at the moment is the mental side of it,” Glasgow Evening Times quoted the full back as saying.
“It is boring and I am at home trying to find as many documentaries to watch and books to read. Knowledge is power so I am just doing what I can to keep myself entertained.
“The more you sit and think about the injury, you find yourself going insane. I am trying to keep myself occupied as much as I can.
“It is nice to be back amongst the lads again. The first couple of weeks of pre-season I was back down south and just sitting on the sofa so it is nice to see the boys and the gaffer and be back in Glasgow. The banter is back and I am back amongst them, which is good.”
