Gambia U-20 squad, the Darling Scorpions, have resumed training for their 2017 African Youth Championship qualifiers second leg tie with Sierra Leone in Banjul on 23 April, 2016, at the Independence Stadium in Bakau.
The Darling Scorpions, under the guidance of Coach Omar Ceesay, commenced an intensive training sessions at the FIFA Goal project in Old Yundum, to prepare for the final lap of the qualifiers against the Shooting Stars.
After a 2-0 away win in Makeni during the first leg encounter, the Darling Scorpions only need a draw to advance to the second round of the qualifiers and face the North African powerhouse Morocco.
Whilst the Gambians will hope to bank on the goals of Generation Foot duo, Bunn Sanneh and Abdoulie Jallow, they need to avoid a heavy defeat against the Shooting Stars who can progress if they beat their Gambians opponent at least 3-0 in the second leg in Banjul.
