Sierra Leone winger, Abdulai Bell-Baggie, has joined English Conference League side Stockport County just weeks after leaving Bristol Rovers.

The 23-year-old, who trained with manager Neil Young’s squad on Tuesday night before agreeing a deal with the Hatters, became the club’s 10th signing in the summer which also includes the likes of Micah Evans and Kevin Holsgrove.

Hatters boss Young believes he has made ‘an exciting and excellent’ decision by bringing in the Sierra Leonean at Edgeley Park.

He told the club’s website: “He is a small diminutive lad who came over here from Sierra Leone at a young age,” Neil said. “He’s played about 100 games – most of those at Tranmere – and is someone who can play out wide and up front. I have no doubt he will be an exciting and excellent signing for us.”

The Sierra Leone international was a free agent after a short stint with Bristol Rovers towards the end of last season.

Born in 1992 at the start of Sierra Leone’s decade-long civil war, Bell-Baggie moved to the UK as a seven-year-old with his family.
