Wobay opens NK Olimpija Ljubljana account as Kaikai fires brace

Sierra Leone international midfielder, Gibrilla Julius Wobay, opened his NK Olimpija Ljubljana goal scoring account in Sunday’s 5-0 thumping of NK Rudar in the Slovenian PrvaLiga.

Wobay, who was making his fourth appearance for the Zmaji (The Dragons), doubled the lead in 49 minutes, after Rok Kronaveter 24 minutes strike had earlier given them the lead.

Kronaveter scored his second of the night to make it 3-0 before an own goal from Radović and Ricardo Alves’ effort sealed the win for the home side as they moved four points clear at the top of the log.

Striker Alhassan Crespo Kamara was the Sierra Leone international on target on Sunday to help his Örebro SK side secure a 3-2 win over IFK Mariehamn in an international friendly.

In England, attacking midfielder Sullay Kaikai continued his scoring form with a brace for Shrewsbury Town in a 2-2 draw with Bury in the English League One on Saturday. Kaikai opened the scores in the 16th minute but Tom Soares leveled things up for Bury in the 30th minute.

Kaikai restored Barnet’s lead three minutes later before Peter Cleark forced a point from the visitors. The brace was Kaikai’s fourth goal in three games.

In the English league Two, Alie Sesay had 53 minutes spell in Barnet FC’s 0-3 home defeat to Oxford United, while former Leone Stars skipper, Ibrahim Obreh Kargbo, had a full time spell for Welling United as they suffered a 0-1 defeat to Gateshead in the English National league.

Former AC Milan midfielder, Rodney Strasser, enjoyed another full time action for NK Zagreb as they continue their relegation battle in the Croatia topflight league. Strasser received his third successive booking as his NK Zagreb suffered a 1-0 defeat to Hajduk Split.

In Turkey, midfielder Alfred Sankoh came off the bench in the 84th minute to help Balikesirspor maintain their 1-0 lead over his former club, Şanliurfaspor.

The battle for the Finnish League Cup ended in all smile for Sierra Leone’s combative midfielder Hassan Mila Sesay as his Lahti squad scooped the title following as 3-4 post-game penalty win over SJK after a full time goalless draw.

In the U.S. Major League Soccer (MLS), Kei Kamara’s Columbus Crews SC’s poor start in the new campaign continued as they were forced to a goalless draw by Chicago Fire.
