Former AEK Larnaca and Apollon Limassol forward, Mustapha ‘Haji’ Bangura, scored his first goal for his Serbia club Borac Čačak in Friday’s 1-1 away draw against Vojvodina in the Serbia Super Liga.

Bangura, who joined the Serbia club few months ago, waited until his third game in the Super Liga before opening his account to help Borac Čačak extend their unbeaten run to six matches.

The 26-year-old’s extra time strike gave Borac Čačak an equaliser at the Stadion Karađorđe after Meleg had given the home side the lead in the 71 minutes.

Čačak gaffer, Ljubisa Stamenkovic, congratulated his players for their performance throughout the match.

He told the club’s website: “I congratulate my players who showed a lot of heart. They did not fall even after conceding a goal; we deserved the tie in the game. We missed a couple of chances but it is all made up for in the last minute. This point means a lot to us, and with great optimism we expect the next matches to be great for us.”

Borac Čačak now sits second in the log with 43 points from 26 matches.
