Ibrahim Sorghor Kallay’s 71st minute strike proved to be the decider in IFK Luleå’s 1-2 away victory over Piteå in the Swedish first division league.
The former FC Kallon midfielder, who was later substituted in the 89th minute, helped Lulea to their sixth win of the season from 12 matches, and it was his second goal of the season.
The home side had earlier taken the lead through their Nigeria striker, Uchenna Ike in the 41st minute but Linus Johansson levelled things up just 10 minutes in the second half, before Kallay’s 71st minute goal sealed the victory for the visitors who now moved third in the league table.
In the same first division league, defender Ishmael ‘Jorjor’ Koroma featured in the starting line-up of Nyköping but could not save the team from a second defeat in the season after losing 1-3 at home to Brage.
In the Swedish second division, midfielder Mohamed ‘Bilili’ Bangura also played full time for Härnösands FF as they secured a 2-1 win over Ange IF.
In the U.S. Major League Soccer (MLS), striker Kei Kamara was not on the sheet for Columbus Crew in their 2-2 draw with Real Salt Lake on Sunday. The striker featured full time in the match.
