With support from Airtel, Zedzee films and Ramsey films last Friday and Saturday premiered their latest movie titled ‘Elephant in the Room’, which is love story with a star cast.
The well-attended premiere at the Miatta Conference Hall in Freetown attracted government officials, local entertainment stars, and Airtel management and staff. Nollywood star Ramsey Nouah served as the guest speaker at the premiere.
Also various Sierra Leonean movies were shown as part of the entertainment package to the guests, including ‘Elephant in the Room’, ‘Twisted’, ‘Abacha Sisters’, ‘Clueless’ and ‘Range Rover’, while musical maestro Emerson Bockarie performed live.
Speaking at the premiere on Friday night, Airtel Marketing Director Patrick Coker said Zainab Sheriff is an example to all Sierra Leoneans, adding that the talented model, actress, singer and producer is also an Airtel ambassador.
Coker said Airtel was ready to promote people with talent as part of the corporate social responsibility as Sierra Leone is a virgin land for promoting entertainment.
Nollywood star Ramsey Nouah, who directed the movie, said he was very delighted to have directed his first movie in Sierra Leone and also proud to work with Zainab Sheriff and the other casts in the movie.
Zainab Sheriff, on her part, thanked Airtel for changing many things in her life, and thanked the audience for coming to the premiere.
“I am impressed over the turnout of people in my premiere. I love entertainment and I am encouraging other Sierra Leoneans who have talents to display it for the benefit of others. I am a goodwill ambassador, helping the less privileged children,” stated the former Big Brother Africa contestant.
