Sierra Leone Football Association Referees Committee has levied a month suspension on Swahib Bangura for his poor performance during the Mighty Blackpool home match against Ports Authority on Wednesday February 20 at the Siaka Stevens Stadium in Freetown.
Bangura faced the music for what the committee described as ‘giving an unfair advantage to Mighty Blackpool, who eventually walked away with a 1-0 victory.
In a related development, prominent FIFA referee, Raymond Coker, has been issued a warning letter for failing to attend protocol meeting in the Ports Authority VS Anti Drugs match. Similarly, Conrad S. Taylor was also given a three weeks suspension for failing to issue the correct card for an incident of striking in the same match between Ports Authority and Anti Drugs FC which played on 16 February 2019.
Meanwhile, assistant referee, Musa A. Sandy was sanctioned for 2 weeks for conspiring with the center referee to give a wrong decision in the same Ports Authority and Anti Drugs FC clash.
