Sierra Leone U-19 in action against Nigeria

Sierra Leone Youth U-19 cricket team will start their ICC Africa World Cup qualifiers campaign on Sunday, March 17 against Tanzania at the United Oval before taking on Uganda the following day at the Wanderers oval in Windhoek, Namibia.

Just after a day rest, the team will resume playing when they take on tournament host, Namibia on match day three at the United Oval and match day four will give Sierra Leone a big test against East African strong force, Kenya at the WAP Oval.

All participating teams will go for second-day rest on Friday, March 22 before their final match the following day and it will be an all West Africa affairs between Sierra Leone and Nigeria which will be a repeat of the first phase qualifiers.

Sierra Leone, Uganda, Namibia, Kenya, Tanzania and Nigeria will all battle for the only slot allocated to Africa for the 2020 U-19 World Cup billed for South Africa in January and February.

Already, host nation Namibia, East Africa side Kenya and Uganda have already been branded as tougher opponents.
