Stadium Manager assures fans of safety

Newly appointed General Manager of the Siaka Stevens stadium, Paul Damuley has assured Sierra Leonean football loving fans of their safety ahead of the kick-start of the country highest football league.
In an exclusive interview with Concord Sports, the former Bo Rangers goalkeeper said he knows the importance of the football pitch and the stadium at this time especially when the country’s league have not been playing for over four years.
“I don’t want people to be afraid, the Stadium will be of safety, already the Chinese people have strengthened the entire stands, and there are other renovation work ongoing especially at the Stadium hostel,” he said adding that the groundsmen are also monitoring the pitch daily.
For manager Damuley, they are ready to work relentlessly to improve the stadium and bring back the glory of football to the young people.
He said: “Honestly, it was not an easy job for us to maintain the pitch which was not in good condition due to the actives in the Stadium. The grass was dilapidated, but we’ve worked and continued to work on it.”
