Anglican Bishop of Bo, Reverend Emmanuel Tucker, was last Friday arraigned at the High Court in Bo for misappropriating US$80,000 donor funds.
According to court sources, Bishop Tucker was charged with eight (8) counts of misappropriating donor funds put in his care during the Ebola crisis between 2015 and 2016.
ACC sources say the Anglican bishop faked several receipts of prominent businesses in Bo in order to conceal his alleged criminal act of misappropriating money meant for ending the Ebola scourge.
After the charges were read to him, he denied all of them. Defence counsel Samuel O.T. Taylor applied for bail.
Presiding Judge, Mr. Justice Unisa Kamara slammed the accused Le200 million bail plus sureties.
He adjourned the matter to 27 September.
The ACC is represented A.B.C. SAMUELS and N.B.E. Davies.
