Magistrate Santigie Bangura of Padamba Road Magistrates’ Court No 1 yesterday remanded one Alimamy Bangura at the male correctional Centre for an alleged murder of one Alieu Kamara.
The accused was arraigned on one count charge of murder contrary to the law of Sierra Leone.
Police prosecutor, Inspector T.M.Bangura, claims that on Tuesday, 19th September, 2017, along New Jersey, Off Peninsular Road, Goderich in Freetown, murdered Alieu Kamara.
However, there was no representation for the accused and the matter was adjourned to the 1st November, 2017.
In another matter, Magistrate Santigie Bangura also acquitted and discharged one Osman Kamara, who was charged with one count of Larceny contrary to section 2 of the Larceny Act of 1916.
Police Prosecutor, Sullay Tap (4563), alleged that on Tuesday, 27th June, 2017, at Wilkinson Road in Freetown, Stole one TVS star HLX motor Bike, valued five million six hundred and twenty Leones ( 5,6020,000), propriety of Titus Kongomany.
Meanwhile, Magistrate Bangura acquitted and discharged the accused person on the grounds that the prosecution has failed to provide substantive evidence to back up the said charged.
“I hereby by acquit and discharge the accused person,” he ordered.
