Kei Kamara kept New England Revolution playoff hopes alive in the U.S Major League Soccer as they left it late to secure a 2-1 win over Toronto FC last Saturday at Gillette Stadium.

The Sierra Leone international leaped above Toronto defender, Drew Moor, to head home in the 87 minutes from Lee Nguyen’s cross. The goal was Kamara’s 12th of the season as New England retains a mathematical chance of securing a top six finish in the Eastern Conference.

The Revs are now eighth in the standings with 38 points from 30 games, just a point behind seventh-placed Montreal Impact and four adrift of the New York Red Bulls, who occupies  the last playoff spot in the table.

In Denmark; Christian Moses scored his fifth goal of the season to help Vendsyssel secured 4-2 victory over Nykøbing in the Danish first division league.  Moses had to wait for 25 minutes before opening the match scoring, thanks to Lucas Jensen who made a perfect first-time pass just in front of Christian Moses, who easily slot home into the distant post.

George Davies was an unused sub for St. Pölten, who were forced to a 1-1 draw at home by Admira, while in England, Amadou Bakyoko, replaced Roberts in 75th minute for Walsall as they grabbed all three point on the road to Oxford United.

Ibrahim Obreh Kargbo and his Dulwich Hamlets side secured a 4-0 win over Leatherhead in the English non-league while Abdulia Bell-Baggie was given 78 minutes in Poole Town goalless draw against Chelmsford City.

In Finland topflight league, Hassan Sesay had full time action as his Lahti side were held to 1-1 draw by Rops and in the third tier, Abdul Sesay’s was unable to find the net but his JS Hercules still went on to defeat JBK 1-2.

Kwame Quee and John Kamara both enjoyed full time display in both the Iceland and Kazakhstan topflight league respectively. Quee’s Víkingur Ólafsvík drew 1-1 with FH at home while Kamara’s Kaisar defeated Aktobe 1-0 away from home.

Former AIK and Celtic striker, Mohamed Bangura returned to Dalkurd squad in the Swedish second tier league in Saturday’s 1-0 defeat to Varberg. The Sierra Leonean forward replaced Sugita in the 87 minutes and elsewhere, Alie Sesay’s IFK Frej suffered a 3-1 defeat to Degerfors.

Leone Stars captain, Umaru Bangura’s was in full time duty for FC Zürich but they went down 1-0 away to FC Basel and in Turkey second tier league, the struggle continues for Alfred Zagallo Sankoh’s Denizlispor side as they suffered their fifth defeat  in six matches.

Sankoh was withdrawn in the 40th minutes of the match and was also booked for his third of the season 10 minutes in the match. Michael Lahoud and his Miami FC secured 0-3 win over Jacksonville Armada.
