Sports Ministry/NSC engage SLFA executive today

Ministry of Sports and National Sports Council (NSC) will today Tuesday September 26 engaged executive members of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) five days after the SLFA President,   Isha Johansen and her Secretary General,  Chris Kamara were indicted by the Anti-Corruption Commission.

The two top F.A. officials were indicted for misappropriation of public funds and abuse of office and since the ACC’s indictment, the SLFA executive are yet to make an official statement on the issue and both pair.

In a statement signed by the Director of Sports, Ibrahim Bangura, the F.A was instructed that all their activities should be put on hold with immediate effect while Tuesday’s meeting at the Sport Conference Hall of the Siaka Stevens Stadium will help to discuss the way forward.

The Ministry also ordered the media department of the SLFA to refrain from its regular activities pending the outcome of the meeting, while the public was advised not to engage or deal with the Football Association until a conclusion is reached in finding a lasting solution to the unending football commotion in the country.
