Sierra Leone and FC Lahti defender, Hassan Milla Sesay, said scoring his first Finish top flight league goal of the season was down to “hard work”.
The 29-year-old helped the Black Drones secured a 4-2 win at the Vehkahalli Stadium over host FC JJK Jyväskylä and believes getting his name on the score sheet was nothing else but hard work.
The Left-Back was on target and he scored from the rebound to register his first of the season in the 4th minutes in a Finnish Premier League (Veikkausliiga) encounter and has made eighteen league appearances this season.
“It was a great feeling after so many games,” Sesay said. “But it is all down to hard work. The whole team is working very hard. We’re second on the table, so it was a great match and a very important victory for us.
“Hopefully we stay focused because we have eight tough games to the end and if we keep doing what we have been doing all season, we can qualify for Europe next season,” the Left-Back added.
Sesay will be looking forward to another runout today Monday, September 11 at home when they host Kuopion PS.
