ALL SMILE AS ASSIGNMENT COMPLETED… Mohamed Kallon with course instructor
Sierra Leone and Inter Milan legend, Mohamed Kallon, took his first step to become a professional coach after obtaining the ‘Second Category Professionals UEFA ‘A’ license.
The former A.S. Monaco forward, together with former Inter Milan teammate, Esteban Cambiasso, was amongst the 52 participant, who completed the final exams for the UEFA ‘A’ license badge.
A statement from the Italian Football Federation reads: “The FIGC Technical Department has announced the names of the new ‘Second Category Professionals – UEFA A’. The final exams of the course were concluded yesterday in the courses of Coverciano, whose lessons were held in July at the Federal Technical Center.”
“With this qualification, enabled coaches will be able to guide all youth teams – including the Primavera – and the first teams up to the Lega Pro included. They will also be eligible as second-in coaches in the top two Serie A and Serie B championships.”
Kallon was amongst the second phase of 25 participants who kick-started the ten-week ‘Second Category Professionals ‘coaching course in Coverciano, Italy.
In May 2015, Kallon successfully completed his UEFA B License coaching course again in Italy on a high note, finishing fourth out of the 45 participants in the course. The former Sierra Leone national team captain completed the eighth months training course that was also conducted by the Italian Football Federation with 125 maximum points.
Among the new UEFA A coaches are Gaetano D’Agostino , technician of Virtus Francavilla and Mauro Giorico , master of Arzachena. Giuseppe Padovano, deputy of Capuano in Modena.
