Swedish Superettan club, MJallby AIF on Tuesday confirmed the signing of former AIK and Sierra Leone International Ibrahim Teteh Bangura on a short term deal.

The club confirmed signing the forward with a statement on their website which reads: “We are pleased to present our second acquisition for the day, Teteh Bangura. The former AIK and Bursaspor player is now ready to be part of Mjällby AIF.”

MJallby AIF, who last season were relegated from the Allsvenskan league, are currently struggling and fighting to escape relegation in the Superettan and the club believe Bangura could help them in their fight.

The 25-year-old striker, who is seeking a full fitness after recovering from a knee surgery, could not seal a deal  with Allsvenskan side IFK Norrkoping and the club management admitted that despite his successful trials with the club a deal was not agreed.

“The striker has completed his trial period of play at IFK Norrkoping but there will be no signing of contracts for the Sierra Leone striker; Teteh has done well during the test game. He is a goal scorer, he has shown in training. We still choose not to go ahead,” said IFK Norrköping manager Janne Andersson.
