Brentford striker, Sullay Kaikai has said he was determined to play better and make his loan at the club a success.
The Crystal Palace player, who is on loan to the Championship club, told the London News Online that he was ready to pick up the form he had during his last loan spell with League One side, Shrewsbury Town.
The 21-year-old has been a regular for the Bees, most of the time he has got on the pitch and has been a substitute, although he was unable to make a real impact on those matches.
“It’s been a bit stop-start but it is a different level. I’ve got to adjust to the demands of that and I’m learning. I feel like I’m progressing. I’m feeling in good shape,” he said.
“You always want to test yourself, to be the best you can be. Going to the Championship was the next stage of my career. I need to prove I’m better than that in order to progress to the Premier League.”
“Physically there are a lot of players who are a lot stronger and quicker than in League One. There are a lot of teams who like to play out. You need to be able to make decisions quicker.”
“The manager here knows it is going to take time for any player to adjust to the demands of the Championship. He’s been very good with me. He’s a lively character around the ground. Everyone gets along with him. He’s got the same ambitions as the players.”
