Two of Sierra Leone’s Premier League giants, FC Johansen and the Republic of Sierra Leone Armed Forces (RSLAF) football team, will engage each other again in a replay of this year’s Leocem FA Cup final on Saturday, 8th October, 2016 at the Wusum Mini-Sports Complex in Makeni, northern Sierra Leone.
The two sides were forced to a replay after last Sunday’s clash was called-off due to poor floodlighting facility at the Wusum grounds, but according to Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) media officer, Abu Bakarr Kamara, tomorrow’s clash would not be halted by poor facility.
He said: “The replays match will go on as planned and for us to avoid such unfortunate problems like last weekend, the match will now kicks off at 4:00 PM prompt instead of the initial kick off time which was4: 30 PM.
“This will help us beat the light system even if the match is forced to an extra time like the last game.”
FC Johansen are hoping to get the job finished this time after they took the lead in the 25th minute of play through their skipper Sorie Barrie.
However, the military guys took full control of the match after the recess and were able to level things up through striker Mohamed Sillah aka Agogo in 65th minute.
The eventual champions will take home 40 million Leones and also represent Sierra Leone in next year’s CAF Champions League, while the runner-up will secure a place in the CAF Confederations Cup plus 30 million Leones.
