MoneyGram International has put smiles on the faces of their loyal customers, especially those who sent and received money using the service during the month of Ramadan, by rewarding them with prizes worth millions of Leones.

A computerised raffle draw held yesterday at the offices of Premier Media Consultancy at Circular Road in Freetown saw 38 MoneyGram customers win gallons of vegetable oil, bags of rice and onions, rams and motorbikes.
Managing Director of Premier Media Consultancy, Dr. Julius Spencer, who spearheaded the draw, stated that MoneyGram was the fastest, safest and the most reliable channel of sending and receiving money.

He noted that the MoneyGram service has made it easier for people to send and receive money without going through any constraint, unlike other services.

He encouraged those currently making use of the service to continue because it was the only secured way to sending and receiving money.

According to him, Sierra Leone Commercial Bank, Rokel Commercial Bank, FBN Bank, Afro International, Guaranty Trust Bank, Keystone Bank and United Bank for Africa are the agents providing the service in Sierra Leone.

“We are conducting draw for several prizes as a result of a promotion we launched during the past Ramadan, whereby those who sent and received money from their family members and loved ones stand the chance of winning fabulous prizes,” he said.

Dr. Spencer re-echoed MoneyGram’s commitment to providing reliable services to their customers in sending and receiving money within and out of the country.
Representative from Rokel Commercial Bank, Curtney Rogers-Wright, noted that the coming of the MoneyGram service has helped curtailed many complaints hitherto received from customers, including delays in sending and receiving money.

On her part, Jane Kamara from FBN Bank said since they started using the service, it had helped the bank in getting more customers, adding, “I am asking everyone to use MoneyGram because it is very fast.”

At the end of the draw, Bashiru Kabba, Joseph Lansana Sheku, and Emilia Williams each took home a motorbike, while Isha Jalloh, Darlington Coker, Ramatu Jabbie, Aminata Koroma and James Coker won a bag of onion each.
