Sierra Leone striker Mohamed ‘Poborsky’ Bangura is continuing with his fine goal scoring form as he netted his fifth goal in all competition this season.
The 25-year-old forward scored on Sunday against GIF Sundsvall in AIK’s 4-1 home win, and it was his second goal in three days as he also scored against VPS in the UEFA Europa League.
It was GIF Sundsvall who took an early lead in the Sunday clash, thanks to a fourth minute strike from Gambian striker Pa Amat Dibba. But AIK drew level from a Henok Goitom goal in the 19th minute. However, Bangura’s strike in the first half gave the home side a 2-1 lead before they finished the job in the second half with two additional goals.
In the Swedish first division league, defender Ibrahim ‘Marcel’ Koroma played full time for Nyköping as they defeated Vasalund 4-1. His countryman Ibrahim Kallay’s IFK Luleå suffered a 3-1 defeat to Dalkurd.
Down to the Swedish second division, Mohamed ‘Bilili’ Bangura also featured full time for Härnösand as they defeated Ånge 2-1.
In Belarus, Leone Stars skipper Umaru ‘Zaingalay’ Bangura played the full 90 minutes for Dinamo Minsk in their 2-0 win over Neman Grodno.
Elsewhere, Kei Kamara and his Columbus Crew suffered a 3-0 defeat away to Montreal Impact in the U.S. Major League Soccer (MLS), while in the North American Soccer League (NASL), striker Shaka Bangura played for 54 minutes as his Atlanta Silverbacks side defeated Jacksonville Armada 1-0.
