Sierra Leone Turkish based midfielder, Alfred Zagalo Sankoh, wants to help the national team Leone Stars end their winless run against the Elephant of Côte d’Ivoire.
Sierra Leone is yet to register a single win against the Ivorian’s from seven attempts, only registering a single draw and six defeats. But the newly acquired Denizlispor midfielder want that poor run to end when the two sides meet in Bouake on 3 September.
“We all know the importance of the match; we believe we can make a different against the Ivorian’s. We have not beaten them before but this time we have to end that run and get a win,” Sankoh said.
The midfielder has expressed his gratification with support from Sierra Leonean fans, government and football authorities, adding that they would work harder to pay the nation back.
