‘Crespo’ Kamara marks Häcken debut with victory

Former AIK striker Alhassan ‘Crespo’ Kamara last Sunday made his debut for new club Häcken in their 2-0 away win to Helsingborg in the Swedish top tier league, the Allsvenskan.
The Sierra Leonean international, who last week completed a three years deal from Orebro, was introduced in the 61st minute, replacing Nigerian striker John Owoeri, who scored one of the goals of the day.
A step further down the Swedish league, the Superettan, striker Mohamed Buya Turay had full time action for AFC United, who were beaten at home 1-2 by Trelleborg, while Abu Suma’s IFK Frej held Syrianska FC to a 2-2 draw. Suma was subitutited in the 84 minute.
Away from Sweden, midfielder Mohamed Medo Kamara was replaced in the 46th minute in HJK Helsinki’s 4-2 home win over PK-35 in the Finnish Veikkausliiga, but Kamara’s countryman, Hassan Sesay, played full time for his Lahti side that suffered a 4-1 defeat to SJK.
Elsewhere, midfielder John Kamara played full time for Riga FC as they were defeat 1-2 at home by Ventspils in the Latvia topflight league, and in Slovenia Gibrilla Julius Wobay was an unused sub for Olimpija, who defeated Radomlje 0-2 away.
In the U.S. Major League Soccer, Kei Kamara was not on the score sheet but that did not stop his New England Revolution side to secure a 1-0 home win over Chicago Fire. In the North America Soccer League, Michael Lahoud’s played full time for Miami, who were held to a 3-3 draw by Carolins Rail Hawks.
