Sufian Mansaray, 64, a former pastor at the Calvary Pentecostal Church in Kissy, east of the capital, Freetown, died on Saturday, 21st May, 2016 as he prepared to attend his wedding ceremony in church.
According to an eyewitness, Mohamed Sesay, the deceased Pastor Mansaray suffered a heart attack as he was getting ready for attend his nuptials.
He explained that the deceased was a diabetes patient, and that he had hurt his big toe days before his tragic death, and was admitted to a hospital for over two weeks.
“The deceased was from the hospital unwell on the wedding day with a swollen leg and whiles he was trying to enter inside the vehicle he fell down and was holding his chest,” Sesay told our reporter.
He said that the deceased had four grown up children with his late wife, adding the latter had been sending messages to different people via dream, that the pastor should not wed any woman, but should instead pay attention to their children.
A member of the Calvary church who begged for anonymity said the deceased was a family friend to the husband of woman whom he was due to marry last Saturday.
He said the bride had lost her husband during the Ebola outbreak.
The remains of the deceased was reported taken to the Connaught hospital mortuary for post-mortem.
