Sierra Leone international striker, Alhaji ‘Andriano’ Kamara, is on his way to join U.S. Major League Soccer (MLS) club DC United, less than six months after he was ruled out from playing football due to heart problem.

According to latest information close to the striker, his international and local agents, Patrick Mork and Chernor Musa Jalloh respectively, Kamara has in the past week been in the United States where he underwent several heart tests which results were all positive.

The two agents are refusing to make comments on the player’s situation. Mork, when squeezed by Swedish journalist said: “I cannot comment on anything right now.”

When contacted by Concord Sports, local agent Chernor Musa Jalloh said: “Yes it is true that the player is in America but any other news are speculations.”

In February, Kamara’s Swedish club IFK Norrkoping published a press release announcing that the striker, who had a successful spell with them and guided them to lift the Swedish league title, was stopped from playing football this season because of a congenital heart defect.

“The deviation in the coronary arteries of Alhaji Kamara is uncommon and he is high risk of sudden cardiac death during maximum exertion. All the experts advise against continuing football,” wrote IFK Norrkoping in a press release.

With U.S. MLS not subjected to FIFA or UEFA regulations, Kamara hopes to get confirmation from the league’s head doctor to give the go-ahead for him to return to active football and if that go through, the former FC Kallon striker would sign a deal with DC United.
