Teteh Bangura eyes successful campaign

Sierra Leone international striker, Ibrahim Teteh Bangura, says he is eyeing a successful league campaign with Swedish Superettan side GIAS AIF.

The striker, who signed a short deal for the Superettan side in April, is looking forward to making his official debut for his new club when the Superttan league kicks-off on Saturday, 2 April with GIAS AIF taking take on Frey Täby at home.

The 26-year-old, who is also looking forward to getting his career back on track after an injury prone years, said he is now fully fit and ready to get back on track.

He told Concord Sports: “I thank God I am now feel much better and fully fit; when I signed for this club earlier in March, I told your this move means a lot to me because I have been out for some time now.

“With several pre-season matches I am now ready to work hard in the new campaign and to regain the form I had with AIK in 2011. I want to prove myself.”

The former AIK striker, who is not a stranger in the Swedish league, said he was looking forward to competing with team mates for a starting place in the team and to get a good season.

Bangura was unveiled with the number 20 jersey. He was with the team during their preseason trip to Turkey and played several matches when the team returned to Sweden from their tour.

The striker’s last successful spell in Sweden came during the 2011 season with AIK Stockholm, where he scored 15 goals in 17 appearances before he was sold to Turkish top flight league club Bursaspor.
