Sierra Leonean duo Sullay Kaikai and Alhassan ‘Crespo’ Kamara were both on target for Shrewsbury Town and Orebro in the English Sky Bet League One and the Swedish Cup respectively.
Kaikai, who made his second bow for Shrewsbury Town since he completed another loan move to the club last week, helped them to a 2-1 win over Coventry on Tuesday.
Aaron Martin gave the visitors an early lead in the 4th minute, but the England born Kaikai, who is still eligible to play for the Sierra Leone national team, leveled the score before they grabbed the winner later.
The win saw Shrewsbury Town stretch their unbeaten run to six games in the Sky Bet League One. Kaikai posted on his twitter account after the match: “3 points! Great team effort, fans were brilliant!”
Another Sierra Leone forward who registered his name on the score sheet was Alhassan ‘Crespo’ Kamara, whose 12 minutes striker was not enough to secure all three points for Örebro as they were forced to a 1-1 draw away to Helsingborg in the Swedish Cup.
In the English fourth tier league, the Sky Bet League 2, central defender Alie Sesay registered his name on the assist book as he provided Barnet’s opening goal in their midweek clash against Newport County away from home.
Sesay’s assist was easily side-footed home by midfielder Yiadom, to give the Bees a ninth minute lead in a match, which ended 3-0 in their favour. It was their third away win of the season.
