Sierra Leone international midfielder, Mohamed Medo Kamara, has officially re-joined Finland based club HJK Helsinki on a-six-month deal, with a-year-optional.
The Finnish Veikkausliiga (topflight) league giant Thursday confirmed the resigning of the combative midfielder in a press statement posted on their website.
According to the club, Medo Kamara has an agreement with them until the end of August, with an option to extend for a year.
“Medo returns home,” the club posted on their website. “Medo Kamara has done an agreement with HJK until the end of August and the agreement is in the option. Medo is the best in recent years that played as a center midfielder.”
Kamara was offloaded by English championship side Bolton Wanderers in January after they announced that they have mutually terminated his deal at the Macron Stadium.
Before his departure at Bolton, the 28-year-old did not play for Wanderers in 16 months, despite being one of the Sky Bet Championship club’s higher earners by then.
On his return to Finland, the former Bolton midfielder said he turned down lots of other offers to rejoin the club. “I had a lot of demand, but the love of the club and I wanted to wear the blue and white colors again made me to come back,” Medo said.
Kamara, who was the Helsinki fans favourites during his first spell at the club, was sold to Serbian side Partizan Belgrade on 31 August 2010, a day after his last match for HJK. He signed a three-year contract with the club and in January 2013 signed a three-and-a-half-year contract for Bolton for an undisclosed fee.
