IFK Norrköping are hoping to have Sierra Leone international striker Alhaji Andriano Kamara back in the squad before they kick-start the Swedish Allsvenskan league (top tier).
The 21-yeasr-old forward was withdrawn from the team’s pre-season training camp in Portugal due to injury, but he has so far returned to light training session though not 100% fit.
Assistant coach Stefan Hellberg admitted that they were unsure when the striker would return. He said: “We do not know [when he will return], but we hope to soon, perhaps in the next week. He has trained somehow, but not one hundred percent.”
The former FC Kallon forward missed the club’s cup tie against Östersunds FK over the weekend, a match which showed a lack of offensive spirit from the squad and a Kamara return could give new hope to the team’s striking force.
