Addressing kids at the annual Vimto Family Fun Day organised by the Sierra Leone Bottling Company (SLBC) on Sunday, 13 December, at the Aberdeen beach, Atilla said the event was part of the company’s responsibility to humanity and the less privileged, adding that they cherish it as it demonstrates that Sierra Leoneans care for and love children.

The deputy minister said government was serious about providing security for children.

Human Resource Manager at the SLBC, Catherine Mariama Kamara, said the event was the second annual fun day for kids as they believe it was significant that they work with families and communities they operate.

She admonished the kids to put up their best behaviour in school and at all times, stating that “we love you and we are ready to give you our support as we celebrate Vimto”.

Children were invited from the Don Bosco charity, SOS children’s home, Alisco Foundation, Deaf and Dumb, Genocman Preparatory School, Blind School and The Chosen One, among others.

The children were thrilled by good music, contributions from the blind school band and children’s organisations, including food and drinks.
