Albert Leonard Johnson,20, and Abu-Bakar Kamara,20, were yesterday (Tuesday 5th November) granted Le40,000m bail each by Magistrate Abdul Sheriff presiding at the Pademba Road court No.3 for alleged sexual penetration of a child.
The duo were before the on one count of sexual penetration of a child contrary to section 19 of the sexual offense Act No.12 of 2012.
The magistrate ordered that two sureties, who are gainfully employed and reside in the Western Area, should bail the accused persons.
He said each of the sureties should produce two passport pictures and that one must have a NASSIT ID card.
He added that the bail bond must be approved by the Deputy Master and Registrar of the High Court.
Police prosecutor, Assistant Superintendent Moses Moore, alleges that the 1st accused on a date between Monday 1st January 2016 and Wednesday 6th March 2019 at No.91B Pipe line, Calaba town in Freetown did engage in an act of sexual penetration with a child below the age of 18 to wit 17 years.
He also alleges that the 2nd accused at different places and date sexually penetrated a 14-year-old child.
They were also committed to the High Court for trial after testimonies of four prosecution witnesses.
