In order to lure more customers and appease subscribers, Sierra Leone Telecommunication (Sierratel) yesterday launched the cheapest tariff plan on the Sierratel landline and CDMA voice dubbed “LEH WE TOK”
According to the Director of Marketing, Lois Munu, in line with their mission of building a better life for all through available, affordable, sustainable and efficient telecommunication services, they wanted to ensure that they consider the low income earners such as pupils, petty traders, commercial riders and armed forces, among others for better communication.
She said the LEH WE TOK service come with a CDMA phone that is sold at Le80, 000. She said subscribers would have the opportunity to make daily unlimited onnet calls for just Le2,000 or Le18, 000 per month.
For the landline services, the marketer said subscribers can also buy Le40, 000 top up card that would enable them to do unlimited calls for three months, Le60, 000 for six months or Le120, 000 per year.
She added that cooperate institutions should subscribe Le4000 for daily unlimited calls, Le20,000 for monthly, Le50,000 for three months, Le80,000 for six months and Le160,000 for a year.
She called on Sierra Leoneans to join forces with their own telecommunication company for better and affordable voice calls and data services.
Earlier, the Managing Director, Foday Sankoh, who has taken office for just two months said the launch of the new tariff plan was the beginning of the many new initiatives that they would embark on in the coming weeks.
“Our being here is of two folds first-to take telecommunication to the last person in the last village because our role is to provide first class telecommunication services to our people. The second role is to make the services affordable and sustainable so that the least person is connected,” he said.
He said the new management would take the business to profitability and reach each and every Sierra Leonean.
