Orange presents one year food items to 5 winners

Orange Telecom, one of the leading GSM providers in the country, yesterday Wednesday June, 26th presented food items plus five million Leones to five grand winners of their 2019 Ramadan promotion across the country.

The one year food items includes, ten 50kg bags of rice, seven jerry cans of cooking oil, two big bags of powder milk, bags of sugar, cartoons of tomato paste, bundles of mineral water and other food items worth millions of Leones were dish out to each of the winners.

On Thursday May, 2nd at the Calaba Town Bus Stop in the Eastern Part of Freetown, Orange launched their 2019 Ramadan promotion that enables over four hundred subscribers won daily, weekly, monthly and one year food items.

Speaking at their IMATT Office during the handing over ceremony of the one year food items to the various winners from Makeni, Bo, Kenema and Freetown respectively, Sheikh O. Jalloh, said the company had launched the promotion as a way of giving back to their subscribers.

He said fifty Orange Money agents as well as fifty of their retailers also benefited from the promotion, adding that the promotion was three-in-one because they also did reduction on the products including data, talk time extend their network coverage and others.

Speaking also, the Chief Executive Officer for Orange Money, David Mansaray, said they were not only providing communication to their customers in the country, but also doing things to better their lives.

He encouraged Sierra Leoneans to join Orange Money and according to him it was the reliable, safe and fastest way of sending money to business partners and relatives in the country.

In her statement, Head of Legal and Company Secretary at Orange Sierra Leone, Haffie Hafner, said the company has done a lot in giving back to their subscribers and the country as whole since they commenced operations in the country in 2016.

She said every year the company launches the Ramadan promotion as one of the ways they give back to the community, adding that they take their cooperate social responsibility very seriously and that as long as they continue to operate in the country they will continue to do something that will change the lives of their subscribers.

Dr. Mathew S. Kamara, one of the winners from Makeni City, Bombali District, expressed gratitude and appreciation to orange company, stating that the food items were enough to serve him and his family for a period of one year.

He promised that he was going to serve as an ambassador for Orange to tell people that the company’s promotions are real.

Mamie Yamah, a Teacher from Kenema, also expressed gratitude as one of the winners, noting that those food items were going to serve her and her family for more than a year and she was very proud to be part of the orange family.
