AYV signs MOU with MEDMP

The Africa Young Voices Media Empire (AVY) yesterday, Tuesday, April 16th ,presented cheques of hundred and fifty million Leones to the two finalists of the just concluded Housemates Salone 2019 Reality TV Show.
The media empire also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Media Evangelical Drama Ministry Production.
The Africa Young Voices Media Empire, in collaboration with Africell, last Sunday, April 14th ,concluded their sixty days ‘housemates Salone’ TV reality show, in which Kenchine Palmer emerged as the grand prize winner, taking home 100 million Leones, followed by housemates Monica Yeanie Ghaliwa,who took home 50 million Leones.
Speaking yesterday at a press conference hosted at their Wesley Street Office in Freetown, General Manager of AYV, Dr. Daramani Lakkoh, stated that the Housemates 2019 reality TV show started with over one thousand applicants.
He said with various qualifying stages, they were able to select the needed 22 people that made it into the house.
He said the just concluded housemates show demonstrated the passion, which AYV has to promoting young people in the country and also helping discover their talents through their various TV programmes.
He said since last year, they have signed over eighty memorandum of understanding with various institutions and organizations.
He said the MOU they signed with Media Evangelical Drama Ministry Production would ensure the production of reality TV show of fifty- two series that would raise awareness on the issue of sexual violence against women and children in the country.
President of Media Evangelical Drama Ministry Production, Pastor John, described himself as a transformer, having manifested it in countries like Gabon and Togo.
He said that they were working with Zack Orji and Emmanuel Ayalogu in Sierra Leone to help transform the movie industry in the country.
Also speaking, Nigerian movie Actor and Director, Zack Orji, expressed his delight to be in Sierra Leone, noting that they were working on the reality TV series show to help change the mindset of people in the country, especially in the area of sexual abuse against women and girls.
“As a father of one boy and two teenage girls, I will not be pleased to see any man do any harm to them. Rape is a crime not only here, but all over the world,” he said.
Emmanuel Ayalogu, a Nigerian movie writer, actor and director, said he was visiting the country for the first time and that as a writer, he saw lot of things about Sierra Leone that he should write about.
He added that Sierra Leoneans are very courageous after going through a lot including war, Ebola virus and other calamities.
In his statement, President and Founder of Africa Young Voices Media Empire, Amb. Anthony Navo Jnr, said he believes God was using him to change and transform the lives of young people in the country.
He said last month, he signed an MOU with the BBC, adding that they were now signing another MOU with Media Evangelical Drama Ministry Production for the production of 52 series of TV reality show that would play important role in fighting sexual abuse against women and girls in the country.
He said Young Voices Media Empire employed closely to five hundred Sierra Leoneans across the world and they had also signed MOU with the University of Sierra Leone to be training students.
