Sierra Leone and Crystal Palace forward, Sullay Kaikai, is closing-in on a loan move to English Championship side Bolton Wanderers.
The youngster, who is unlikely to break into the Palace first-team squad this season, is eager to play regular football and the Eagles boss Alan Pardew is keen to send him out on loan to help with his development.
According to ClubCall.com, the 20-year-old believes this is an important season for him to develop more in the game.
“This is a vital season for me,” said Kaikai. “It would be good to push for a first team place but if that doesn’t happen then to go out on loan would be the best thing for my development. It’s about impressing whoever is watching. Every game, I try and do that, because you don’t know which clubs are having a look at you.
“I just have to continue doing well in every game and in training. I just want to get as close as possible to that first team squad.”
Bolton Wanderers boss, Neil Lennon, is said to be in desperate move to add more attacking pace to his ranks and has identified Kaikai as the ideal player, especially when the Championship loan window has re-opened.
