MoneyGram International has put smiles on the faces of their loyal customers, especially those who have so far sent and received money from loved ones using the service during the festive period.

In October, this year, the international money transfer service launched its 2018 Christmas promotion dubbed: “December to remember”, asking customers to send or received money and stand a chance of winning fabulous prizes and a brand new car, which is the star prize.

A computerized raffle draw held yesterday in the conference hall of the Sierra Leone Association of Journalists (SLAJ) saw 10 MoneyGram customers win shopping voucher each worth Le1.2million and 10 taking home fuel voucher of 20liter each.

Managing Director of Premier Media Consultancy, Dr. Julius Spencer, who spearheaded the draw, stated that MoneyGram was the fastest, safest and the most reliable channel of sending and receiving money.

He described this year’s promotion as the biggest they have unveiled since they started giving back to customers for patronising with them.

He noted that the MoneyGram service has made it easier for people to send and receive money without going through any constraint, unlike other services.

He encouraged those currently making use of the service to continue because it was the only secured way to sending and receiving money.

He disclosed that those that have won themselves shopping vouchers will have the opportunity of shopping at Choithrams Supermarket on December 18, 2018 after collecting the chit from them, adding that the draw for the star prize will be held on the first week of January 2019.

According to him, those who send or received money using one of the agents during the course of the promotion will received a gift, coupled with being qualified for the draw.

Dr. Spencer also disclosed that MoneyGram now has nine (9) agents in Sierra Leone namely: Sierra Leone Commercial Bank, Rokel Commercial Bank, FBN Bank, Afro International, Guaranty Trust Bank, Keystone Bank, Microbit and BMB and urged people to make use of the service.

“We are conducting draw for several prizes as a result of a promotion we launched in October this year to celebrate the festive season, whereby those who send and received money from their family members and loved ones stand the chance of winning fabulous prizes,” he said.

Representative from the various agents noted that the coming of the MoneyGram service has helped curtailed many complaints hitherto received from customers, including delays in sending and receiving money.

They urged Sierra Leonean and other nationals to continue using the service because it is fast, safe and reliable.

At the end of the draw, Brima Conteh, Yayah Mansaray, Ishmael Kuyateh, Musu Sesay, Solomon Seworh, Nabieu Dumbuya, Amara Kamara, Aminata Sieh and Hawah Patretter Marah won fuel voucher of 20liter each, whilst Gertrude Gooding, Ismael E. Thorli, Isata Sheriff, Ansumana Komeh, Esther Kamara, Ibrahim Sorie Jawarah and Tiana Alpha took home shopping vouchers worth Le1.6million.
