Onlime-a high quality Internet Service Provider and data communication services, yesterday launched a new mobile App – CarsOnlime – a virtual vehicle sales centre that allows dealers to advertise as many vehicles as possible without paying any space rental fees.

Onlime is a Sierra Leonean-based tech company with expertise in building user friendly applications and platform. They build products that would respond to the market needs, Apps and websites that work on basic smartphones that require minimal internet speed.

The company’s Senior Marketing Manager, Edward Nelson-Pratt, stated during a power point presentation that dealers would no longer have to wait for buyers to come to them as the onlime platform is effective on the website and on handheld devices, including Android and iOS, which they can download from the Google Play Store.

“CarsOnlime has a selection of over 150 cars which is growing every day. Everyone can browse through the photographs and specifications of each one. The search can be refined by make, mode, location and more. Through the App, you can talk directly to the seller to view the car and agree your purchase. No need to travel all over the country looking for the vehicle of your choice, you can view them on your computer and phone,” he explained.

He said dealers looking to sell fleet of cars or individuals with a car to sell can as well post their adverts on the site and they would help with the photographs guide and details for free as at now.

He explained that the CarsOnlime App is a digital garage which allows buyers and dealers to buy or sell vehicles from anywhere and at any time without visiting the sales centre.

He added that it gives opportunity to insurance companies, financial institutions and spare parts dealers to have access to their target audiences in a single platform.

Mr. Nelson-Pratt revealed that over twenty dealers have already uploaded their automobiles and motor bikes on the site, adding that companies could upload over ninety-nine vehicles whilst private dealers could only upload two vehicles.

Meanwhile, Onlime Marketing & Digital Innovation Director, Mohamed Sheriff Bah, said they had realised there was a missing link between buyers and sellers due to the lack of online presence.

“CarsOnlime will empower local dealers to restart their online business with no set-up cost. Our solution will bring many benefits to the community, helping dealers to increase their reach and buyers to gain more variety of their choice. All our websites and Apps can be accessed 24/7 through our Limezone Wifi hotspots free of charge,” he re-echoed.

Horatio Dove-Pratt, Head of Commercial and Business Development, said the App was akin to a local ebay that they have developed and launched in Sierra Leone for the first time as the world is moving from traditional sales or advertising to digital.

“Today, we are launching the CarsOnlime App which will give access to get what you want. This is a plus to Sierra Leone and Africa because we are now moving from the backward age to the modern age. We are very proud to be the first company in Sierra Leone to launch a local ebay – the carsOnlime – where Sierra Leoneans both home and abroad can buy a car once they have the App,” he concluded.
