Despite her ongoing internal battle within the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA), the world football governing body, FIFA recognized SLFA president, Isha Johansen is set to feature as panelist at the 5th Annual Commonwealth Africa Summit on March 12th – 15th 2018 in London, United Kingdom.
Madam Johansen, who is also standing trail for corruption related charges by the country’s Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), could be alongside senior cabinet Ministers and Chief Executives of corporations from Africa and across the Commonwealth.
The likes of Sally Anne Wilson, the CEO Public Media Alliance, Dr. Justina Mutale, Advisory Board Member – World Leaders Forum, MP Tim Loughton and John Penrose, UK Prime Minister’s Anti-Corruption Champion.
Over 300 global and African thought leaders, eminent and emerging leaders from Africa and other parts of the Commonwealth, friends of Africa and media will converge at the summit, which is expected to spark new thinking on how to achieve Shared Prosperity and Common Good for Africans and how Africa’s growing youth population can transform the continent.
According to the Summit organisers, this year’s theme is designed as Common Good, with conversations seeks to promote the benefits and interests of all through improved collective action for the common good of humanity within and outside the commonwealth.
The event is annually hosted as part of activities to celebrate the Commonwealth Week in London. The Keynote Speakers includes; Former President of Ghana, His Excellency John D Mahama, Amina J Mohammed, the UN Deputy Secretary General rep, Dr. Hassan Ahmed Hilal, Minister of Environment, Sudan amongst others.
The Commonwealth Africa Summit provides an opportunity not just to contribute to reimagining what the continent might be, but an opportunity to network, strategize and mobilize valuable resources so as to bring the Africa Dream to fruition.
