Chief Executive Officer of Orange Telecom Sierra Leone, Sekou Drame, has on Friday 10th February, handed over visas and flight tickets to six Sierra Leoneans to travel to their dream cities of New York, Washington DC, Paris, London and Casablanca.

The six tourists were the star prize winners of the Orange 2017 ‘Christmas bongo promotion.

The winners of the Orange Christmas Bongo star prize including Abdul Rahaman Gassama, Zainab Sama, Kadiatu Momodu, Agnes Kargbo, William Koroma, and Victoria Umu Sankoh are expected to leave Sierra Leone to their dream cities in the world anytime from now.

It could be recalled that as a way to sending  season’s greetings to its numerous customers in Sierra Leone, Orange Telecoms, one of the leading GSM providers in the country, on Wednesday (29th November 2017) launched their end of year promotion, titled ‘Christmas Bongo’ and also signed partnership with Air Moroc.

Speaking at the Sierra Leone Broadcasting Corporation (SLBC) Television CEO Drame, said they wanted to use the promotion to inform their customers about the branding of the company and the opening of many new pole sites across the country.

He said they recently launched their reduction of data which makes them the cheapest data provider in the country, and that because they care for their customers they always find ways of giving back to them, hence decided to launch the ‘Christmas Bongo” promotion that will enable subscribers to win themselves many prizes including travels to any city of their choice.

He said the promotion was a way of giving back to their royal customers and that it is a tradition for them to come up with promotions at the end of every year.

He said orange was here to give the best and quality communication to Sierra Leoneans, which was why since the beginning of 2017, they embarked on rebuilding and modernizing their network, using thirty -three million United States Dollars (US$33m)

He said they were committed to reaching every doorstep in Sierra Leone with quality communication; hence they launched 45 new poles in 180 new locations in the country.

He said planning was ongoing to officially launch another 33 poles that are already under construction.

One of the winners, William Koroma, said the promotion was hard to believe until when he experienced it himself.

William Koroma who won a trip to Paris said he was very excited to be one of the winners of Orange Telecoms promotion.

“The promotion was really hard to believe until when I experienced it myself. When they called and told me I have won a trip to my dream city I never treated them with seriousness until when I had a follow up call from Orange few hours later,” he said.
