FC Lahti has taken up the option to extend Sierra Leone midfielder cum defender, Hassan Milla Sesay’s contract for a further year.
The 30 years old will now stay with the Veikkausliiga League side until the 2018 league season.
Sesay, who before the end of the 2016 league season was unsure over his future with the Veikkausliiga side, was relieved when the club confirmed the move to extend his contract.
He said: “We finally got what we all wanted so hard, but we have to be better next season. We want to go further than the last in Europe and I know that we can do it. We still need reinforcements, but I think the team’s body is good. I look forward to excitement next season.”
Confirming the deal, Lahti said: “We’re already in the ninth year together. Sesay is a reliable quality gamer who has been playing for many years on a good level and high speed.”
The former Mighty Blackpool and Ports Authority player joined Lahti from MYPA and has also had run-out with Klubi-04 and Atlantis FC. He also spent a season with FC Viikingit.
