Accuse discharged for want of evidence

 Magistrate Santigie Bangura of Pademba Road Magistrates’ Court No 1 yesterday discharged one Mohamed Conteh for want of evidence.

 Conteh was arraigned before the court on one count of store breaking and larceny, contrary to section 26 (1) of the Larceny Act 1861.

Police prosecutor, T.M.Bangura, claimed  that the accused on Wednesday 25th July, 2017, at Lake Village, Ogoo Farm, Goderich in Freetown, broke into and entered the residence of  Prancis Bendu and stole  seven (7) J.S.K Nineteen Inches Plasma Televisions valued one million Leones each.

Meanwhile, Magistrate Bangura discharged the accused person after several adjournments and on the grounds that the prosecution has failed to prosecute the matter with all evidence.

 “I hereby close their case and discharge the accused for wants of prosecution evidence,” he ordered.
