-Victim testifies

Thirteen years old sexual penetration victim has told Magistrate Albert Moody of Freetown court No. 2 that, Mohamed Kamara sexually penetrated her on several occasions.
“It is not the first time he had sex with me. It has been going on since last year and I cannot remember the exact number of times,” she said.
Mohamed Kamara was charged with one count of sexual penetration and the prosecution alleges that, on diverse dates between September 2016 and 1st May 2017, sexually penetrated a girl under the age of eighteen to wit thirteen years.
Meanwhile, the victim recognised the accused person whom she was in a relationship with.
According to her, she usually helps the accused’s mother with her household chores.
She said one day she went to help the accused’s mother when he asked that they have sex, which she accepted.
The thirteen years old girl said whenever the accused’s mother was not around, he would asked her to lock the house and take her into his mother’s room and have sexual affairs with her.
She said one of their neighbours, who was observing them, informed her (the victim) mother about the relationship, adding that her mother asked her about what she heard.
The girl said her mother took her to one Mamie Yealie, who confirmed that she has been deflowered by Mohamed.
She said her mother later reported the matter to New England Police where she was issued with a medical request form, which she took to Rainbow centre and later returned the endorsed medical form to the police station.
The matter was prosecuted by Sergeant 5295 Phillips R. and the victim was represented by L.O.R.D Jones and J. S Tucker.
