One of the flagbearer aspirants of the United Democratic Movement (UDM), Pastor Yunku Kanu, has claimed that the arrest of the leader of the Alliance Democratic Party (ADP), Mohamed Kamaramba Mansaray, was a politically machinated intimidation.
The aspirant was on Tuesday responding to a mobile phone interview from Concord Times, thus calling for the immediate release of the ADP Leader.
The ADP leader was arrested on allegation of possessing an unlicensed stun gun during the bye-election in Ward 025, Constituency 007, Kailahun district.
While responding to the interview, Pastor Kanu noted that based on the circumstances surrounding the arrest, UNDM considers it as a politically machinated intimidation.
“We are calling on all opposition political parties and senior political officials in the country to monitor the situation as it unfolds. My personal view on this ugly and unfortunate situation is that, APC is very much envious that we the opposition parties are gaining more strength every day,” he said.
