In a press statement dated June 5,2017, the commission called on all to serve the purpose of justice, and to ensure fair play and meet the ideals of democracy with the strong courage to make room for dissenting voices.
The NCD also called everyone to ensure that the purpose of justice is served in the country on the backdrop of a democracy that makes room for the opposition to operate freely within the ambit of the law for without the rule of law, democracy becomes a political platform without foundation.
